In the heart of Sicily, at the foot of Etna,  where the warm Mediterranean sun kisses the fertile earth, I found more than just a piece of land. I found a connection to my past, a link to my present, and a dream for our future.

It all began with a chance encounter with a Sicilian woman, whose smile lit up the darkest corners of my soul. From our love blossomed a child, binding us together in a way I never thought possible. And so, I found myself drawn to Sicily, spending days wandering its ancient streets, soaking in its vibrant culture, and basking in the warmth of its people.

But it was on a bike training ride that fate intervened, leading me to stumble upon a hidden gem nestled on the south slope of Mount Etna. As I gazed upon the rolling vineyards and the majestic peak of Etna, I knew I had found the perfect spot to build a home for my family.

Yet, as I explored the land with its owner, my heart ached at the sight of the neglected vineyards. These ancient vines, some over a century old, deserved better than the dilapidated shed where their grapes were turned into mere must. They yearned for someone to honor their legacy, to unleash their true potential.

I sought the counsel of Peter Vinding Diers, a renowned expert in the world of wine. His words echoed my own thoughts, confirming the exceptional quality of the grapes that lay before us. And so, with the blessing of my father, we embarked on a journey to breathe new life into these forgotten vines. It became a great project between generations of the family.

Every day, we toil in the fields with our own hands, tending to the vines with care and reverence. Our commitment to organic practices ensures that the wine we produce is a true reflection of the land from which it springs. And though the yield may be small, the grapes we harvest are bursting with flavor, a testament to their age and resilience.

As we approach our third vintage in 2023, I can't help but feel a sense of pride and anticipation. Our labor of love has borne fruit, culminating in a small but exquisite production of red wine that captures the essence of Sicily in every bottle. And as we prepare to share our creation with the world, I am filled with gratitude for the journey that brought us here, and the family that made it all possible.
